Bitty Bump

HAHAHAHA funny story so I wrote a post like this one
and then posted it in my other VERY PUBLIC BLOG
Then I quickly , very very quickly deleted it ! WHEW! CLOSE ONE!

anyways here is my bitty bump!

Oh man ! Y'all are prayer warriors because since the last blog post
the following has happened:

  • I got my progesterone refill
  • I have a prenatal appt THIS MONDAY!
  • I made some progress on the whole insurance issue!
PTL! Seriously though, I mean I am SOOO GRATEFUL!
Also funny story about the prenatal appt.
I scheduled it today and
then called my boss about
hopefully being able to get out early on Monday
because the appt. is at 2:30 (school ends at 3:00)
and their was an issue
surrounding Monday and in effort to try to explain
why I really would like I go to
this appt. I ended up telling him
I was pregnant because I was honestly starting to sound
ridiculous trying to explain the situation
while tiptoeing around WHY

so yea, but the rest of the staff
doesn't know... I'll most likely tell them next week :)
and I'll be posting an update on Monday for sure!!!

<3! Enjoy the bitty bump!

Stress stress and stress...

                                        source

So, i'm getting a little overwhelmed lately...
Why? ... because of our Health Insurance.
Our insurance company left Arkansas, yes you read that right... they left
and we were left with not too many options.

Praise God that I became pregnant BEFORE march 15th because that allowed me
to be eligible for a program for insurance that will cover my baby and I right away :)

That's the good news, the bad news is we are STILL WAITING to hear from them.
Very frustrating when you  need the following:

-More Progesterone (prescription that insurance helps with cost)
-Prenatal OB/GYN appt.
-a Progesterone Blood draw (which measures the amount of progesterone I produce naturally)

Oh wait, I can't do any of those because if I did some of those things without insurance I would be paying a hefty price, take my word for it... paying for maternity care when you DON'T have maternity yet IS NOT CHEAP (after losing delaney, everything was labeled maternity, and I was paying for maternity but -I had to pay into that plan for a year BEFORE I reaped the benefits) aka- lots of $$

Did I mention I hate grown up stuff :(

Pray that this will all get worked out VERY SOON... as in this week!!!

When to tell...

So i'm 8 weeks today and i'm struggling with when to tell...
Here is the dilemma, I would love to tell work and share this joy
with them but I know once I tell work it's like "making it public news"
and therefore I won't be able to manage very well or control rather
if it leaks out as general knowledge

And then of course I'm paranoid someone who already knows is going to
make a folly and post something like "i'm sooooo excited for you both"
on my facebook and then the can of worms is opened!

I really shoudn't tell the news publicly until probably I have my first
"official" Drs Appt. So hmmm I think that's my answer... I'll wait till then...
whenever that will be (hahah hmmmm) I should get on that.

I guess seeing that I have seen my regular physician,
been working with Dr. Hilgers office and
gotten an ultrasound already
I think my view of never having
an "official" you are pregnant let do some tests blah blah blah  appt.
is skewed!

Anyways if you reading this I either made the new public by now
or you were one of the few that knew early on  :)

All a Flutter

So, sorry I have been away from my blog for a while
I've been  pretty busy and last week was my "spring break".
I get one of those cause I'm a teacher :)

Anyways on my spring break I was able to visit
my alma mater... Franciscan University!
It was great to see so many wonderful friends!
Also, I love surprising people so that was fun.

Oh yea another AWESOME thing that happened
in Steubenville...

I HAD AN ULTRASOUND!
and guess what I saw... BABY'S HEARTBEAT!
<3

My best friend was by my side
(sidenote: hubs was back home studying in Arkansas)
and it was amazing. At the end of the visit two of the ladies
prayed with me! It was such a blessed experience.

My baby's new (non official) due date is Nov 15th
and I'm 7 weeks today :)

Spring Break was awesome I got some Qtime with a lot
of my loved ones , only drawback... the drive there and back !!
Driving 10 hours there and back without caffeine is not something
that is very pleasant but I can say that I don't think I'm ever going
to try and do that drive again unless I have a buddy in the car with me!

The Tide

source

Can the child within my heart rise above?
Can I sail through the changing ocean tides?
Can I handle the seasons of my life?

How perfect those words ring true for me...
Life's ever-changing... always passing away ...
always renewing itself

I can see how a reflection of life
can truly be a reflection of God
Ultimately, because the essence of life is God

I was at a conference yesterday and one of the speaker
spoke such words of wisdom... here are her words...

"Where there is life , there is hope"

It struck me so hard... especially because I feel like
it was exactly what I needed to hear...
like a message straight from heaven

My little one is growing ever so quickly in my womb
yet everyday I have with my baby is a gift... every single moment...
Will be baby ever make it into my arms ...perhaps not
But my baby will someday make it into heaven's arms
... that is what I pray.

Grown Up Stuff

source

I hate being a grown up...
I spent so much time wanting to be grown up
and BAM now i'm there and it really sucks sometimes...

to make this short...
Grown Up Fails:
- more responsibility
-bills
-customer service representatives
-insurance problems/issues/ANNOYANCES
-fax machines
-taxes
- changing of addresses
- MAIL ISSUES (aka, people not sending things to the right address)

Grown Up Wins:

+more responsibility
+working for your own money
+taking care of your health and body
+ being old enough to get married
+having BABIES
+growing your family
+buying a home
+building your life...

Unfortunately , you can't have much of the above without health insurance, car insurance, bills, rent/mortgage, and a doctor. So I guess we all have to just suck it up :P

On to some new events with my little one...

So as you know, I got PROG SHOTS (progesterone) on Wednesday
and I think I'm gradually losing the soreness (yes I know it's friday) and guess what tomorrow is!!!
SHOT DAY AGAIN! hahahaha but I got my progesterone level back today and I'm in the normal range, so that's good news but they will be continuing the prog support , which I love and hate cause I love that Dr. Hilgers is continuing to take care of me and taking all the necessary precautions but I hate that these shots are so unpleasant...

I'll leave you on a happy note...
It's Friday ;)
